Stenter Automation :

Automation Objective -

Stenter is an oil heated machine, used for processing of fabrics to get desired width, maintain structure and achieve colour brilliancy in fabrics.
The main objectives for automation are :
Width calibration of the main chain of the machine.
Drive synchronization to maintain fabric stretching and the density of fabric going inside the chamber.
Control of temperature and moisture inside the chamber.

Multiple VFDs are connected via multiple built in open communication ports of the CPU. Graphical Touch
HMI is connected via the available serial port on PLC.

Typical control actions are performed by the Controller Width Variation and proper controlling of width throughout the chamber.

Calibration for Main, Overfeed, Underfeed, Selvedge Left and Selvedge Right drives.

Blower and main drive frequency controlling at high temperature or high moisture content inside the chambers as per the control mode selected via HMI.

Startup sequence of all the blower drives.

Batch Parameter logic to show the history of all the shifts. Average speed, machine utility in percentage, and total production is calculated.
